Next Event Bird Walk
Sunday 15th June 2008 7.00am start.
Meet at the Sankey Valley Country Park Visitor's Centre at Blackbrook.
Join the Rangers on an early morning bird walk, looking and listening for up to 45 species of birds.
Please bring along binoculars if you have them. We request that all dogs are left at home for this event.

Next Event Guided Walk
Two Beacons Walk
Sunday 20th July 2008 starts 10.00am.
Meet at the Sankey Valley Country Park Visitor's Centre at Blackbrook.
A strenuous 12 mile hike from Blackbrook to Ashurst Beacon in West Lancashire.
Transport back to the starting point is provided.
Please bring along waterproofs in case of inclement weather, a packed lunch and plenty of liquids to drink.
You should also wear stout footwear suitable for walking long distances.

Next Event Pond Dip
Sunday 3rd August 2008 starts 1.00pm.
Meet at the Sankey Valley Country Park Visitor's Centre at Blackbrook.
Join the hunt for a large variety of pond creatures with the Rangers and our guest
Chantelle Edwards from 'Nature in Focus'. Chantelle will examine the 'mini-beast' under
a microscope which will display them in gruesome close-up on a television monitor.

Next Event Bike Hike
Meet at the Sankey Valley Country Park Visitor's Centre for a 10.00am start,
or Newton Cottage Hospital at 10.30am, the ride should last till 3.30pm.
Join the Rangers for a day of cycling along the network of paths of the Sankey Valley through to Warrington.
Packed lunch, fluids and a puncture repair kit are required.
Under 14's must be accompanied by an adult.

Bradlegh Loop
Sunday 28th September 2008 starts 10.00am.
Meet at the Sankey Valley Country Park Visitor's Centre at Blackbrook.
This short 4 mile walk will follow the line of the St Helens canal and pass
under the Nine Arches Viaduct before crossing into Cheshire and returning back to the starting point.
