Fri  6th Nov   --   St Helens town centre  --  2 Peregrine.

 

Wed 4th Nov  --  Carr Mill Dam  --  100+ Pink footed Geese,  150+ Canada Geese,  11 Tufted Duck,  1 Cormorant,  1 Kingfisher. 

                             Newton Lake, NLW  --  11 Teal,  9 Tufted Duck,  1 Pochard,  1 Common Buzzard,   1 Harris Hawk.

 

Tues 3rd Nov  -- Penkford Flash, NLW  --   1 Little Grebe,  1 Grey Heron,  13 Teal,   2 Green Sandpiper.

                            Nine Arches, Sankey Valley, NLW  --  1 Grey Wagtail.

 

Mon 2nd Nov  -- Newton Lake, NLW  --  2 Mute Swans,  78 Teal,  6 Tufted Duck.

                            Willow Park, NLW   --  2 Goldcrest.

                            Penkford Flash, NLW  --  6 Teal.

                            St Helens town centre  --  1 Peregrine.

                            My Garden, off Wagon Lane Haydock  --  1 Sparrowhawk.

 

Sat 31st Oct   --  Haydock  --  20+ Redwings over.

                            Prescot Reservoir (permit only --  77 Barnacle Geese,  1 Red-breasted Goose,  1 Med Gull,  1 Yellow-legged Gull,  

                                 ''            ''               ''       ''      --  1  Ringed-billed Gull,   110 Fieldfare. 

 

Fri  30th Oct   --  Penkford Flash, NLW  --  6 Grey Herons.

 

Thurs 29th Oct - No further news of the probable Glossy Ibis reported flying north over the A580 on Birdguides today.

                            Haydock  -- 90 Pink-footed Geese over 2.30pm going east.      

 

Wed 28th Oct -- Prescot Reservoir (permit only -- 2 Peregrine,  370 Fieldfare,  82 Redwing. 

                           Carr Mill Dam  -- 300+ Canada Geese,  13 Tufted Duck,  1 Teal,  1 Cormorant,  28 Fieldfare,  4 Siskin,  4 Tree Sparrow.

 

Tues 27th Oct - Prescot Reservoir (permit only -- 1 female Merlin.

                           St Helens town centre  --  1 Peregrine.                

 

Mon 26th Oct - Nine Arches, Sankey Valley, NLW  --  1 Grey Heron,  2  Buzzard,  2 Kestrel,  2 Jays,  15 Pied Wagtail,  2 Grey Wagtail. 

                           Penkford Bridge, NLW  --  1 Grey Wagtail. 

                           My Garden, off Wagon Lane Haydock  --  25 Redwings over.

                           Prescot Reservoir (permit only --  9 Ruff, flying south.

                           Gillar's Green  --  4 Raven, flying north. 

 

Sun 25th Oct  -- Carr Mill Dam  -- 1000+ Pink-footed Geese over,  200+ Canada Geese,  1 Barnacle Goose,  8 Tufted Duck,  1 Cormorant, 

                              ''       ''      ''    --  1 Common Buzzard,  2 Lapwing,  2 Siskin,  4 Tree Sparrows.

                           Old Coach Road, Rainford  --  Total of around  5000 Pink-footed Geese in to roost in the distant fields.

                           Haydock  -- 3 skeins of Pink-footed Geese over  - 100 early am, then 150  later in the morning,  followed by 55 more after dinner.
